History
Experience is the key to a successful outcome
Knowing when to push for a better result and when to accept victory and end an action comes from having represented many clients in similar situations. I have been practicing law since 1971-first in South Africa, then beginning in 1982 in the US at the prestigious law firm of O'Melveny & Myers, where I was a litigator in the Los Angeles office.
Personal background
The world's most prestigious law firms have their pick of virtually any lawyer they wish. I have been associated with one of the best -O'Melveny & Meyers. I continue to maintain my relationships with the O'Melveny law firm, and continue to work with them.
I have been a member of the California State Bar since 1983. I am also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. My legal education includes an LLB degree from University of Witwatersrand Law School, Johannesburg South Africa.
I received the coveted Juta Prize for my article, "A Search of the Truth - Does Our System Provide for It?" published in Consultus , a quarterly law journal for practicing barristers in South Africa. During 2002, I received both the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition and the Certificate of Recognition by the California Legislative Assembly. Additionally, I was honored by then California Governor Gray Davis with the State's Special Commendation and later by the City of Los Angeles with its Certificate of Appreciation.
My educational background, coupled with my major law firm experience and the stature in which the legal Bar holds me, provides credibility for my cases even before I step into the courtroom.
