Firm principal Anthony B. Gordon (Tony) is an experienced, AV-rated civil litigator with over 40 years of legal experience.  Tony has practiced internationally and worked on a range of complex and high-profile matters, including the Exxon Valdez oil spill case, Proctor & Gamble's toxic shock cases, the Coordinated Asbestos Insurance Coverage Cases, and in association with Ernst & Young’s Johannesburg’s office, represented the South African Reserve Bank in investigating fraud involving exchange control regulations on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. In 2014, he also qualified for inclusion in the Worldwide Registry of Executives, Professionals & Entrepreneurs, and was also nominated as a Trusted Advisor was admitted to San Fernando Valley Business Journal.

Over years of honing his litigation practice, Tony has developed creative problem-solving skills, and he takes pride in uncovering innovative approaches to achieve his clients' goals.

Tony recently obtained a judgment in excess of $3 million in the United States District Court in Los Angeles, California, based on claims of fraud and violations of the RICO statute against the promoter and founder of a sham bank known as The Alps, purportedly operating out of the World Trade Center in Stockholm, Sweden. Based on the evidence Tony uncovered and after presenting excerpts from the videotaped deposition of the main defendant in the case, U.S. Federal District Judge Dale S. Fischer, made the following findings:

"The Alps' homepage on the internet displaying a high rise office building in the World Trade Center, Stockholm, Sweden deliberately and falsely represents to the average person that The Alps was a substantial financial institution.

The Alps' headquarters was not in the World Trade Center, and The Alps did not have a lease with the World Trade Center. At most, The Alps never had an office in the World Trade Center – or anywhere in Sweden. At most, The Alps appears only to have had a post office box at an address used by numerous entities and an answering service also used by numerous other entities.

After viewing a series of clips from the videotaped deposition that was introduced into evidence, the Court noted that Kevin Wessell’s deposition testimony was the most evasive the Court has experienced in thirty three years, and found that much of his other testimony is simply not true. The Court based this determination on its observations of Wessell’s demeanor and manner while testifying at his videotaped deposition, some of which was played in open Court.

Following this case, Tony received a letter of commendation from the Mayor of Lancaster in which he stated, “As a trial attorney myself, I appreciate the sheer amount of hard work and tenacity it takes to obtain a bench decision such as this. Please accept the enclosed Commendation as a token of my esteem for your outstanding accomplishment.”
